Breaking: 28 murdered in fresh southern Kaduna attack

Terrorists reportedly killed about 28 people in separate attacks on Sunday night in Kagoro Chiefdom's Malagum 1 and Sokwong towns in Kaura Local Government Area, Kaduna State.
The Council Chairman, Hon. Mathias Siman, who confirmed the event on Monday, said he could only confirm seven people were gruesomely slaughtered at Sokwong Community.
The attack comes just five days after an attack in Malagum 1 that killed three people.
According to him, the terrorist completely destroyed all of the houses in the Sokwong Community, and he has yet to confirm the killings in Malagum One.
Mathias advised locals in the region to keep calm as security agents were being dispatched to carry out inquiries in the area.
Meanwhile, the Speaker of Kaura Local Government Area, Hon. Atuk Stephen, stated that over 22 people had been confirmed murdered in Malagum 1, while eight were alleged to have been dead in Sokwong.
Atuk called the killings "terrible," while urging the Federal Government and security services to redouble their efforts in order to limit renewed killings in the area.
"Attacks in our area have been persistent and multi-dimensional, with no visible or felt attempts by security forces or the administration," he continued.
Mohammed Jalige, the spokesman for the Kaduna State Police Command, could not be reached at the time of reporting this news.
