They were on their way to Las Vegas when the tragic incident occurred near the Nevada-California border on Friday night, February 9, 2024.
Olushola, whose name appeared on the manifest, evaded death by not boarding the ill-fated aeroplane and instead travelling by road.
Supreme News reported that Olushola flew with Wigwe, his wife, son, and former Group Chairman of Nigerian Exchange Group Plc (NGX Group), Abimbola Ogunbanjo, from London, United Kingdom to Palm Spring, California.
However, when Olushola arrived in Palm Springs, he declined to board the ill-fated flight to Boulder City, Nevada, saying that he would not fly by helicopter at night owing to the weather conditions.
He was alleged to have chosen to travel to Boulder City by car, avoiding the flying disaster that took the lives of four others.
