Fed varsity Katsina admits 5,507 students for 2024/2025 session
Hamisu-Bichi urged the students to strive for academic excellence through unwavering determination and dedication.
The Federal University Dutsinma (FUDMA), in Katsina State, has inducted about 5,507 students for the 2024/2025 academic session.
The institution’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Armaya’u Hamisu-Bichi, disclosed this during the 13th matriculation ceremony of the university in Dutsinma on Tuesday.
According to him, the inducted students succeeded in securing admission, out of more than 15,000 candidates, who applied for admission placement into the university.
“Therefore, I share with you the joys of being admitted into your respective programmes of choice. I once again welcome you all to this ICT-Driven citadel of learning.
“This ceremony marks the beginning of a new chapter in your academic journey, a journey that will undoubtedly be filled with challenges, triumphs, and endless opportunities for growth and learning.
“This event is indeed a great milestone to you and indeed to your parents. FUDMA is one of the most sought universities in Nigeria,” the V-C said.
He further assured the students that the university was configured to produce excellent graduates that would transform future society and demonstrate competitive posture among Nigerian universities.
According him, the university places unwavering attention and focus on academic excellence through effective teaching and learning.

“Your hard work and commitment to studies will not go unnoticed, and the university will continue to provide support and recognition for those who excel in their academic pursuit.
“As you embark on this academic journey, l implore you to shun all forms of social vices, because they can derail your progress and tarnish your reputation.
“Cultism, drug abuse, fighting, stealing, indecent dressing, examination malpractice, smoking, gambling, and any other form of misconduct have no place in our institution,” he said.
The V-C also urged the new students to uphold the values of integrity, respect, and ethical conduct at all times.
