A better alternative for Bayelsa Governance
Engr. Eradiri, Udengmobofa Udengs is running for Governor of Bayelsa State on the Labour Party platform in November 2023.
The Labour Party aspirant, Engr. Udengs Eradiri, has shown interest in contesting for governorship in Bayelsa.
In his interview with newsmen, he expressed why he is contesting for the governorship position and why he wants to take over from Senator Douye Diri.
He said "The truth is that I am pained about what is happening in Bayelsa".
He continued that the economy of Bayelsa has ground to a halt, and with his experience in past leadership roles, he can do better.
He acknowledges the effort of the present PDP governor, and the party has tried to manage the state for nearly four years, but PDP has not shown capacity enough to deal with the challenges that bedevil the people of Bayelsa.
Supreme News reports that Eradiri, Udengmobofa Udengs, was born on March 22, 1976. He is a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers and a Production Engineering graduate of the University of Benin.
Aside from being an Engineer, he is also a businessman, human rights activist, Ijaw leader, and politician who is determined to continuously improve the business and corporate sectors by fostering management skills, technical expertise, and effective leadership, as well as to contribute to and support community development programmes in the Niger-Delta Region, Nigeria, and the world.
Supreme News reports that he has played roles of leadership within his community, state, and national levels.
In January 2021, he was appointed Special Assistant on Youth and Sports to the Interim Administrator of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC). From January 2022 to January 2023, he was appointed Special Assistant on Youths and Sports to the Acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) until the Board was eventually constituted.
