Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the newly inaugurated president of Nigeria, has stated that there will be no more petroleum subsidies.

Asiwaju Tinubu stated this on Monday in his inaugural address following his inauguration at Abuja's Eagle Square.


He informed the audience that the budget he encountered on the ground did not include provisions for fuel subsidies, so none would be pursued.

He stated that the savings from the removal of petroleum subsidies would be applied to other pressing issues.

Among the areas he mentioned were education, agriculture, and the provision of vital infrastructure.
