Just In: Tinubu secures immediate lifting of UAE visa ban
As a result of the historic agreement, Etihad Airlines and Emirates Airlines will promptly resume their flight schedules into and out of Nigeria.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the President of the United Arab Emirates, Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, reached a historic agreement on Monday in Abu Dhabi, resulting in the immediate lifting of the travel prohibition against Nigerians.
Ajuri Ngelale, the President's Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, disclosed this information in a statement issued on Monday.
According to Ngelale, as a result of the historic agreement, Etihad Airlines and Emirates Airlines will promptly resume their flight schedules into and out of Nigeria.
As negotiated between the two Heads of State, this immediate restoration of flight activity via these two airlines and between the two nations does not necessitate an immediate payment from the Nigerian Government.
