Mrs Uju Ken-Ohanenye, Vice-Chairman, All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) says Asiwaju Bola Tinubu will ensure a sense of belonging for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) if elected as president in 2023.

She gave the assurance to the newsmen on the sidelines of an event she organized to celebrate the Christmas with over 1,000 PWDs from the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and other states of the federation on Tuesday in Abuja.

Ken-Ohanenye, who was the only female APC presidential aspirant before the primaries, said the event organised in collaboration with some of her friends, as part of her social responsibility.

She said the event was organised to show love to the PWDs in particular and to let them know that the APC cared for them.

"Today is a very big day in my life because the APC is showing the physically challenged and the voiceless that we love and care for them.

"We are showing them that they will be given a voice when Tinubu assumes office as the country's next president by God's grace and the support of the electorate in 2023," she said.

She added that before now, no individual cared for the country's physically challenged.

"We are here to show them love and give them Christmas gifts so that this year's Christmas will be a different one for them," she said.

She added that with an Asiwaju presidency, the PWDs would be recognised and showed love.

She said those that had the qualifications and capabilities would be carried along in government, adding that even contracts would be given to them when they form themselves into identifiable groups.

"This is Asiwaju's style, everybody will be carried along," Ken-Ohaneyen assured.

She said women should realise that they were the mothers of the nation, adding that they delivered all men and without them, no one existed, not even the president.

She therefore charged women to make the right choice in the coming election by voting to ensure the actualisation of a Tinubu presidency in 2023.

According to her, this is critical to ensure that all Nigerians, irrespective of tribe, religion and status in the society are carried along.

"The physically challenged here today are born by women and their mothers will want them to be carried along.

"Today we are paying them a huge respect and showing them that they belong and that they are humans.

"Women should come out enmase to vote for the Tinubu-Shettima ticket in 2023 for a better Nigeria, they should encourage their children to do same," she said.

The event witnessed the presentation of Christmas gifts and food items to the PWDs.

Some of the people with disabilities who spoke with newsmen Mr. Joe Sabo thanked Ken-Ohaneyen and the APC for reaching out to them and giving them a sense of belonging.
