The don, who described the election as substantially peaceful and credible in spite of the challenges, said that there was need for improvement in the country’s electoral system to sustain its nascent democracy.
Dr Micheal Oke, Lecturer at Ekiti State University, has tasked those aggrieved by the declaration of Sen. Bola Tinubu as president-elect in the just concluded election not to take law into their hands but tender their grievances in the court of jurisdiction.
Oke, who is a Lecturer with the Department of Finance, said there were bound to be grievances in any election.
The don, in a telephone interview with the News Agency of Nigeria( NAN) on Wednesday, urged everybody to work together for the good of the country.
“The declaration is a welcome development; this is the most competitive presidential election in the history of Nigeria.
“However, there are bound to be grievances in any election. It is expected that everybody should work together for the good of the nation.
“Those who have grievances should not take law into their hands but seek redress in the law court,” he advised.
The don, who described the election as substantially peaceful and credible in spite of the challenges, said that there was need for improvement in the country’s electoral system to sustain its nascent democracy.
According to him, Nigerians have great expectations from the incoming administration.

“It is very obvious there are numerous challenges in the country.
