We ‘ll resolve Warri-Itakpe train ticketing malpractices - NRC
Abdulganiyu said that the corporation understood the public’s disappointment over the recent incidents of malpractices involving some of the staff.
The Management of the Warri-Itakpe train service of the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC), says it is determined to tackle and resolve every ticket and pricing malpractice issues involving its staff.
This is contained in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja by Mr Sanni Abdulganiyu, Coordinator, Warri-Itakpe Train Service.
Abdulganiyu said that the corporation understood the public’s disappointment over the recent incidents of malpractices involving some of the staff.
He assured the populace that an internal review was underway to address such misconduct among the staff.
According to him, providing a fair and trustworthy service is the top priority of the corporation and it is committed to making things right.
“We have been actively working to prevent such issues, and in light of these reports, we are increasing our efforts.
“Anyone found responsible will be held accountable.
“We’re also stepping up monitoring and improving our ticketing process to prevent overcharging and make our services more transparent,” Abdulganiyu said.
He added that the NRC is setting up a hotline to make reporting any ticketing issues easier.
