Unity Bank customers win N650,000 in Verve card promo
Unity Bank Plc says its customers, Nmeregini Chukwuebuka and Sharif Mohd, have emerged as winners of N500,000 and N150,000 respectively in the ongoing Verve National Consumer Promo.
Unity Bank made the disclosure in a statement on Monday in Lagos.
The statement said the customers emerged winners in the August draw where other Unity Bank customers also won prizes including fuel vouchers, electricity payments and shopping vouchers among others.
It said that the promo was organised by payment processor, Verve Card Services Ltd.
According to the statement, the promo, which started in August 2023 will run till January 2024.
It said that the promo presented an opportunity for all Unity Bank’s verve cardholders, active and inactive, to win the different categories of prizes.
It, however, said customers were advised to activate their verve cards and increase frequency of transactions across any channel, which included PoS, ATM and WEB in order to increase their chances of winning.
The statement said to win as a Unity Bank Verve card holder, customers were expected to perform at least two additional transactions with their cards every week.
Congratulating the Unity Bank winners, the Head of E-Business, Eghomware Iyamu, commended Verve Card for organising the promo which was intended to drive uptake of technology, e-banking and financial inclusion.
“I am satisfied with the partnership that exists between us and Unity Bank, which has been mutually beneficial in terms of increased adoption of the cashless society, digital payment and convenient banking.
“Unity Bank is happy to continue the issuance of verve card while the promo presents a unique opportunity for the bank customers who transact with their cards to enjoy substantial financial benefits in cash, vouchers and other gift,” Iyamu said.
He added that the Verve card also allowed Unity Bank customers to take advantage of security and convenience, noting that it features reduces the risk of fraudulent transactions.
Iyamu urged customers of Unity Bank Plc to pick up and activate their Verve cards to enhance their overall banking experience.
