The Katsina State Commissioner of Police, Mr Aliyu Abubakar-Musa, has urged newly recruited police constables to uphold professionalism, integrity, and discipline throughout their careers.

He gave the charge on Thursday in Katsina during a training session focused on combat operations and weapons handling.

The commissioner said that the training was part of efforts to enhance the constables’ operational capabilities and improve public safety and security.

According to him, the programme aims to equip officers with essential skills and knowledge to effectively address the unique security challenges facing society.

He said that the training covered a wide range of topics, including core police duties and responsibilities, advanced weapon handling, communication and interpersonal skills, crisis management, conflict resolution, professional conduct, social media policy, and first aid.

He expressed gratitude to the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, for his unwavering support and guidance, both logistically and otherwise.

Abubakar-Musa also appreciated the Katsina State Government for its logistical support, which made the training possible.

He reiterated the command’s commitment to ensuring the protection of lives and property across the state.
