NAOWA commissions remodelled vocational training centre to boost self-sufficiency

The Nigerian Army Officers Wives Association (NAOWA), has inaugurated a remodelled ‘NAOWA Vocational Training Centre’ at Giginya Barracks in Sokoto to boost self-sufficiency.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony on Wednesday, Mrs Ndidi Ajose, the Chairperson of 8 Division of NAOWA, said the effort was to argument the Federal Government’s skills acquisition training initiative aimed at promoting self reliance.
Ajose, who is the wife of General Officer Commanding (GOC), Maj.-Gen. Ibikunle Ajose, said based on the government initiative, students at all levels were enjoined to combine educational pursuit with skills acquisition training to facilitate productive engagements in all sectors.
According to her, the remodelled centre was equipped with modern equipment and specialised instructors, meant for training people on tailoring, catering, handcraft, beauty makeup, computer literacy among others.
