The FPRO, a Chief Superintendent, further urged Nigerians to report personnel who delay them.

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has ordered officers across the country to cease asking drivers for Customs documents.

Muyiwa Adejobi, Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), issued the directive via Twitter on Sunday.

The spokesman added that tinted glass permit issuance remains suspended.

Adejobi stated that officers are only expected to stop and examine such vehicles and their occupants.

"No officer should request your customs documents. Except that they are conducting a joint operation, not just routine inspections", he tweeted.

"We have suspended the issuance of permits for tinted glass, so we do not expect our personnel to annoy Nigerians on this matter.

"We are to stop any vehicle with tinted windows and conduct a search of the vehicle and its occupants, but we are not to wait for tinted glass permits."

In addition, the FPRO, a Chief Superintendent, implored Nigerians to report personnel who cause them to be late.
