Ghana University woos prospective students at Enugu International trade fair

Kings University College, Accra, Ghana, participating at the ongoing 35th Enugu International Trade Fair has encouraged Nigerian students to seek admission into the university for quality education.

The Nigeria Admissions Consultant of the university, Mr. James Uriri, made the call in an interview with the newsmen at the trade fair on Tuesday.

Uriri urged students seeking admission there to come with their West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) certificates to secure admission.

He said that the courses available were management courses, oil and gas, engineering, biomedical, nursing, ICT, law, mass communication, pharmacy, medicine, and surgery.

The consultant said that the essence of the offer was because Nigerian universities and polytechnics could not absorb one third of Nigerian students seeking admission every year.

He explained that Ghana's education was one of the best in West Africa in terms of quality and moral behaviour.

The consultant said that parents were allowed to visit their children and to monitor their activities in school any time they felt like.

“The students were also allowed to visit their parents on every long vacation,” he said.

According to him, there is no cultism in the school, and students always graduate on time without stress.

Uriri said that Nigeria and Ghana had similar cultures, adding that the school fees were affordable and parents could spread payment over four installments.

He said that upon graduation, they would come to Nigeria to do their mandatory one-year National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme.
