Interact with class teachers to monitor children’s progress – Proprietor urges parents
The Proprietor of Leaders Nursery and Primary School, Ilorin, Mr Abiola Oluwole, has advised parents to interact with their kids class teachers, in order to monitor their academic performances in school.
Oluwole, who gave the advice in Ilorin on Friday in an interview with news men, said many parents seldom ask teachers question(s) concerning the progress of their wards in school.
“Many parents do not care to interact with teachers about their wards performance and progress in class.
“The teachers are there for your kids. It is your responsibility to interact and ask them question(s) on your child’s progress and conduct in class,” he said.
According to him, it is your responsibility as a caring parent to question the teachers
on areas where the child needs to improve.
“This will help the parent to know where to come in and how to get the best of their children,” he said.
He said that many parents were not bothered to check their children on open day to chat with their teachers.
The proprietor urged parents to learn how to establish a good relationship with their wards teachers and interact with them for improved performance.
He also said good parent and teacher interaction would help to improve learning process.
