Eid-el-fitri: Ekiti SWAN Chairman felicitates with members, children

The Chairman of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria(SWAN) Ekiti State chapter, Mr Qozeem Oladapo has gifted out food and drinks to members and Muslim children to celebrate Sallah.

The event tagged “BAO Kiddies Sallah Funtime” was held on Tuesday at the Ball and Ball event centre in Ado-Ekiti.

Oladapo said the objective was to appreciate committed SWAN members and devoted Islamic children.

He said it was also to support the Gov. Biodun Oyebanji-led administration in reaching out to the Muslim community.

“On behalf of myself and the state governor I am giving out food items to SWAN members for their commitment in promoting sports development in the state.

“I am also supporting our amiable governor, in reaching out to the Muslim community to celebrate Sallah.

“God willing, this kind gesture to both SWAN members and Muslim children will continue,” he said.

Oladapo thanked parents for bringing their children to the event.

Supreme news reports that the event featured a novelty football match between the girls and boys, Islamic quiz and current affairs to test the children’s knowledge.

SWAN members who attended the programme include the pioneer Chairman of the association in Ekiti, Mr Toyin Ayoola and the Vice- President of SWAN, Southwest, Mr Ayodeji Ogunsakin.

Speaking, Ayoola, commended Oladapo for the gesture.

He advised members to always maintain professional standards.

He thanked the governor for appointing the SWAN chairman as board member of Ekiti Sports Development Trust Fund.

Similarly, Ogunsakin, commended Oladapo for being a good ambassador of the association and Islamic religion.

He called on good spirited individuals to emulate his gesture.
