This date is also the deadline for the tribunal to deliver its verdict.

The Presidential Election Tribunal has set a date for the public release of its verdict, four weeks after adjourning for judgement.

The Five-member tribunal, which convened at the Court of Appeal complex in Abuja from May 8 to August 1, according to a normally reliable source, has settled on September 16 as the date of judgement.

This date is also the deadline for the tribunal to deliver its verdict.

The Justice Haruna Simon Tsamani-led tribunal is expected to rule on the three petitions filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the Labour Party (LP), and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) along with their respective presidential candidates, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Mr. Peter Obi, and the Delta-born Princess Chichi Ojei, against the Independent National Electoral Commission's (INEC) declaration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu

Tinubu, the governing All Progressives Congress (APC), and the Independent national Electoral Commission (INEC) are the defendants in the cases.
