The Magistrate, Miss Gladys Oladele did not take the plea of the defendants for want of jurisdiction.

An Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, on Monday ordered the remand of 19-year-old Adebowale Bashiru and Nureni Olalere, 47, Ibrahim Ojo, 32, in a Correctional facility over alleged possession of firearms.

The three whose addresses were not provided were charged with conspiracy and unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition.

The Magistrate, Miss Gladys Oladele did not take the plea of the defendants for want of jurisdiction.

She directed the police to return the case file to the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) for legal advice.

She adjourned the case until April 4, for mention.

The Prosecutor, Cpl Oluwafemi Ajayi told the court that the defendants committed the offences on March 5, at noon in Iseyin.

Ajayi said that the defendants had in their possession two cut -to-size barrel guns and two life cartridges without lawful authority.

He said the offences contravened Sections 3, 6(b) of the Robbery and Firearms (Special Provisions) Act, 2004.
