Minister GUC lives and grew up in Port Harcourt. He is one of the best Ikwerre man on earth. While growing up, he lost both parents and had to do menial jobs like selling sachet water and driving trucks in order to make ends meet. With a vision to spark a revival through music, GUC started his music career in the city of Port Harcourt in 2013 and on the 1st of January 2014, he released his first official single ‘I Believe’.
Gift Ugochi Christopher, known as GUC is a Nigerian gospel singer and songwriter. GUC hails from Emohua Local Government area in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. He had his days of little beginnings.
And with sheer determination and passion, he pushed his music career independently till November 2019 when he got signed to Eezee Conceptz, one of the top Nigerian gospel record labels, the same music label with Mercy Chinwo, Judikay, and Chris Morgan. The record label boss, Ezekiel Onyedikachukwu Thankgod welcomed him to the label with a brand new car after which he was prayed for and blessed by the label boss, Chioma Jesus.
In 2020, he was nominated for an award in the upcoming Maranatha Awards, USA Awards. His most popular song after Desperate is All that Matters, which was streamed more than a million times in all music streaming platforms globally. Also, GUC’s All that Matters has become a favourite song in many churches in Nigeria and beyond.
GUC has released a series of gospel singles which many Christians testified to be divine and awe inspiring. His famous single, All that Matters, has more than 9 million streams on YouTube alone, making it one of his successful tracks.
However, 2021 is alive spiritually with his burning single, Yours, GUC is very particular with filling the world with Jesuscentrism and he had just revealed in a video that, “Jesus loves you and He loves you and He believes in you so much. He is your biggest fan.”
On October 2nd 2020, Minister GUC proposed to his heartthrob, Nene Ntuk, a young woman on fire who loves the Lord and she said yes. GUC and Nene Ntuk were serving in the same church back in Port Harcourt and they both attended The University of Port Harcourt. He revealed that she stole his heart first.
