He advised the congregants against living a fake lifestyle for society`s validation, saying that being Christlike was more important than pleasing people.

Rev. Tajan Moltok, the Jos Resident Pastor of Shepherd House Assembly International, has urged Nigerians to adjust to the current economic realities following the removal of the fuel subsidy.

The cleric made the call during the church`s mid-week evening service in Jos.

He said that Nigerians must prioritize their movements and expenditures as coping mechanisms to reduce hardship.

“Adjust to the current realities of life and the economy. Live moderately and be flexible to adjust,“ he said.

He advised the congregants against living a fake lifestyle for society`s validation, saying that being Christlike was more important than pleasing people.

“If you usually eat whole chicken, you can reduce it to half; do not force yourself to live a fake life, `he said.

Moltok said that the current economy should also be a period for the congregants to reflect on having investment and multiple streams of income to handle life`s challenges, urging them not to use the situation as an excuse to make compromises to perpetrate unlawful activities.

He urged them to trust God to overcome difficult times.
