2023 Elections: Group urges Nigerians to pray for right president
The Muslim Congress (TMC) in Ondo State, has urged Nigerians to pray more fervently to God to choose the right President for them in the forthcoming general elections.
Ustaadh Abdul-Wasiu Babalola, the Leader (Waali) of TMC, made the charges in his election message to Nigerians.
The message was made available to newsmen by Mallam Abdul-Majeed Adebayo, the State Public Relations Officer of the group, on Sunday in Akure.
Babalola urged Nigerians never to relent or relax in their prayers and quest for the needed leadership and president that would herald ease.
According to him, Nigerians need a president that will re-work the country to glory, comfort, peace, unity, progress, prosperity and abundance for all.
“Please, Nigerians, do not let us relent or lose hope in the power of prayers at this crucial moment of our national history,” he said.
The TMC leader appealed to Nigerians to vote conscientiously and avoid all actions that could disrupt the peaceful conduct and good outcome of the elections.
He tasked the electorates in Ondo State and Nigeria at large to be firm and avoid selling their votes for money or any other inducements.
The TMC leader said in spite of the present economic hardship, that was further compounded by cash crunch and scarcity of the premium motor spirit (PMS) for some weeks now, Nigerians should let their votes count.
Babalola called on youths across the six geo-political zones of Nigeria not to allow themselves to be used as thugs by unscrupulous politicians in the February and March, 2023, general elections.
“Don’t allow politicians to use you for their personal gains while their own children are enjoying the goodies of life abroad,” he noted.
“Let us as youths conduct ourselves smartly and peacefully to ensure a peaceful, conclusive and successful free and fair polls in our dear country,” he said.
The TMC leader prayed that God Almighty make the 2023 general elections and transition peaceful and successful, and make Nigerians to experience ease, true peace, security, unity, progress, development, prosperity, wellness, fulfilment, and abundance in the years ahead.
