The managing director further revealed the reason for LBSL’s leading role in the Proof–Of–Concept (POC) of eco-friendly, efficient, electric mass transit vehicles in Lagos State.

The Managing Director, Lagos Bus Services Ltd, (LBSL), Mr Idowu Oguntona, has said that the company will play the lead in championing sustainable and eco-friendly methods of delivering bus services to Lagos residents.

Oguntona made this known in a statement through the Public Affairs Officer of LBSL, Mr Afolabi Olawale, on Thursday in Lagos.

He said that the decision was in sync with the fast-changing operating environment for bus services.

The managing director further revealed the reason for LBSL’s leading role in the Proof–Of–Concept (POC) of eco-friendly, efficient, electric mass transit vehicles in Lagos State.

Oguntona said that the POC exercise was successful with the cooperation and robust partnership of relevant stakeholders, including the State Government through LAMATA, which was championing the project.

He assured the stakeholders of more alignment for better, sustainable, and improved bus services.

The managing director said that the company would continue to seek proactive ways to improve on its service delivery across all its touch points.

Oguntona promised improved welfare packages for staff members, with priority given to their physical and mental well-being.

“This year, we will continue to operate with the mindset of customer first, ensure transparency in all our processes, adhere to our culture and core values of empowering people to deliver outstanding results.

“Let us continue to work hard to reach even greater heights in 2024.”

He appreciated members of staff for their dedication, creativity, and hard work, saying these had been the driving force behind the company’s success.

“Every one of us has important roles to play in the new year and I am confident that together we will achieve the change we desire,” Oguntona said.
