Igbe asserted that four people had been killed by gunfire, despite the fact that the actual cause of the conflict is still unknown.

At least four people were purportedly killed in a clash between officials of the Lagos Task Force, tanker drivers, and touts at Mile 2 on Tuesday, 5 December 2023.

As a consequence of the fight at the Mile 2-Oshodi bridge, the bridge has been barricaded, forcing drivers to seek alternate routes.

The correspondent received a distress call from a stranded individual who identified himself as Mr. Richard Igbe and stated that there was a fight on the Mile 2-Oshodi bridge.

Igbe stated that they had blocked the access road by barricading the bridge.

At the time of the call, Igbe asserted that four people had been killed by gunfire, despite the fact that the actual cause of the conflict is still unknown.

"Mile 2 is engulfed in fire, and the task force, tanker drivers, and marketers are engaged in a fierce battle. I am hiding at the Fagbems Filling Station at Mile 2 and observing the brawl, but I am unaware of its origin.

"I'm on my way to work, but I'm stranded because they've barricaded the entire Mile 2 so that no one can pass," an eyewitness was quoted as saying.
