Coalition urges Rivers people to reconcile differences for peace, devt

The Adamawa Youth Coalition has called on the people of Rivers to reconcile their differences for peace and development to reign in the state.

Mr. Samson Dabo, the spokesperson of the coalition, made the appeal at the 56th birthday celebration of the FCT Minister, Mr. Nyesom Wike, in Yola on Wednesday.

He criticised the demolition of the state House of Assembly complex for whatever reason.

According to him, the action is not only an attack on democracy but also on Wike, who is the godfather of 27 lawmakers who recently defected to the APC.

“The contribution of FCT Minister Wike to developing Rivers State cannot be argued.

“Therefore, we call on the people of Rivers State to reconcile their differences and leave in peace for the development of the state and the nation,” he said.

According to Dabo, the celebration has nothing to do with any political affiliation in the troubled state.
