Drama Continues In Rivers As Pro-Fubara Lawmakers Remove Speaker, Chief Judge, Others

On Monday in Rivers State, several incidents transpired following the 9:25 p.m. fire at the Rivers State House of Assembly during the previous evening.

According to Supreme News, eight members of the Rivers State House of Assembly loyal to Governor Sim Fubara have suspended Justice Chibuzor Amadi, the state's chief judge.

Ehie Edison was appointed as the new Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly after Martin Amaewhule was impeached.

Recall that Rivers State Governor Sim Fubara fired Nyesom Wike's loyalists from the positions of Chief of Staff and Chief Security Officer, CSO, as the conflict between the two politicians escalated.
