A 64-year-old landlord, Samuel Famakinwa, who allegedly disconnected electricity and water supply from a tenant’s apartment, was on Wednesday brought before an Ejigbo Magistrates’ Court in Lagos.

The defendant is facing a three-count charge bordering on breach of peace and unlawful disconnection.

The prosecutor, ASP Benedict Aigbokhan, told the court that the defendant committed the offences sometime in October 2023, at No. 9, Asungbolu St., Igando, Lagos.

He said that the defendant unlawfully disconnected electricity cable and pipes supplying water to the apartment of the complainant, Mr Bolaji Eniola, who was a tenant to the defendant.

Ariyo ordered that the surety should be gainfully employed and show evidence of tax payment to the Lagos State Government.

She adjourned the case until March 11 for mention.
