NADECO expels Tinubu, rejects 2023 presidential election outcome
The United States Chapter of the National Democratic Coalition (NADECO USA) has announced the expulsion of Nigeria's incoming president, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for allegedly arising through a fraudulent electoral process.
In a statement released over the weekend and signed by the company's executive director, Lloyd Ukwu, Esq., NADECO USA disclosed that the expulsion will be formalised in an international news conference set for Wednesday of this week at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. It stated that it would not accept electoral fraud because Tinubu, the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), was a founding member of NADECO and a staunch supporter of NADECO USA.
In the meantime, the group disclosed that it has initiated measures to interrogate the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Server and Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) machines used in Nigeria's presidential election on February 25, 2023, in an effort to extract the original votes cast.
Additionally, it announced that it will approach the United States Congress "to initiate the introduction of a nonbinding Resolution urging the US administration not to acknowledge the election's outcome." It originates from a poisonous tree."
The statement reads in part, "We intend to distribute press kits that include a 10-minute video showing the fundamental problems in the just ended process.
"During the summit, NADECO will publicly sever ties with Tinubu, a former founding member of both NADECO (Nigeria) and NADECO (USA), for his involvement in the biggest electoral fraud in recent Nigerian history.
"Recall that in 1993, NADECO battled Abacha as the military tyrant who subverted the will of the Nigerian people. In 2023, exactly thirty years later, NADECO is fighting the same tyranny, but this time it is a much more deadly civilian dictatorship. And primarily perpetuated by those who fought Abacha in the trenches.
"NADECO will not turn a blind eye simply because one of its founding members committed fraud.
"Following the meeting, we intend to approach the US Congress with a non-binding resolution urging the US administration not to recognise the election's outcome. It originates from a poisonous tree.
"Former Wisconsin Senator Russ Feingold introduced a similar resolution during the Yaradua election." As a compromise to remove the resolution, Yaradua promised to officially acknowledge that the election that brought him to power was flawed. You will recall that he stated this to Nigerians in a nationwide broadcast.
"NADECO shall also call on the world community to facilitate the establishment of a team of internationally renowned technical experts to interrogate the INEC servers, BVAS, etc., in order to retrieve the actual votes."
