Nweke Jr. demands police arrest APGA governorship aspirant's murders

Mr Frank Nweke Jr. candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in Enugu State at the March 18 governorship election on Thursday in Enugu called for a manhunt for the killers of Mr Dons Udeh.

Udeh was a governorship aspirant in APGA in Enugu State for the 2023 election.

Udeh, an engineer was declared missing on Saturday, but his lifeless body was found in a bush at 9th Mile Bypass in Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State on Tuesday.

Nweke enjoined security agencies and all relevant stakeholders to treat the resolution of the murder and those of other previous attacks in the state with utmost urgency.

“I am still in shock over the news of the kidnap and murder of Engr. Dons Udeh. My heart goes out to his family and friends at this difficult time.

“It is incredibly sad to see how our society has debased the value of human life. I am particularly heartbroken to see another prominent son of Ozalla attacked in such manner,’’ Nweke said.

While acknowledging the high level of insecurity across the state and indeed across, Nigeria, Nweke said: “we must continue to call for better societal values and definitive actions from our political leadership and security outfits.

“The perpetrators must be brought to book and sanity restored to our way of life. No one has the right to take another person’s life.

“This madness must be stopped, and we must return to the values that make us human.’’
