Participants laud 6th Naija Brand Chick Trade Fair
The sixth edition of the Naija Brand Chick (NBC) Trade Fair ended on Sunday in Lagos, with many participants describing it as remarkable.
The event, which began on Friday atWhite Stone, Oregon, Ikeja, was organised in partnership with the Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture.
No fewer than 200 vendors participated in the sixth edition of the fair, tagged “Buy, Sell, Network.”.
In interviews with the newsmen in Lagos, some participants said that the fair was a huge success.
Mrs. Bahijja Wasai, a Kano resident anddealer in incense and cosmetics, told newsmen at the fair venue that its organisation should be a template for the organisation of other trade fairs.
“I came all the way from Kano State for the trade fair. I have participated in many trade fairs, but this particular trade fair was different.
“It is the best fair in terms of organisation, and it is the most intensive in terms of sales.
”It was back-to-back trading with a large population.
“I achieved my target on the second day of the trade fair. We will like to thank Lagos State Government in particular because it has been very supportive,” she said.
Mrs. Blessing Aregbesola, who deals in clothing, told newsmen at the venue that the fair was a huge success.
“The trade fair was an incredible experience. All our collection was almost sold out. It was a great experience,” she said.
Nelly Agboju, the founder of the NBC Trade Fair, told newsmen that the 2024 edition was impactful, especially for vendors.
“The aim of this fair is to help business owners do better.
“On the first day alone, over N300 million was realised. We are excited that the fair was phenomenal, and we know this has been one of the best fairs,” she said.
She applauded the Lagos State Government for hosting the event.
“My message to all business owners is that they should be consistent in what they do,” she said.
Commenting,the Special Adviser to Lagos State Governor on Tou, Arts, and Culture, Mr. Idris Aregbe, said that the fair was a success.
“It has been a great journey. We have been able to create a marriage between Lagos tourism and the trade fair.
“We have been able to use entertainment to push our brand. We have been able to use the event to educate the people on the streets of Lagos, and we have seen that Lagos will continue to lead when it comes to commerce and industry,” he said.
He said that the fact that vendors came from various parts of Nigeria and even outside the country showed that the NBC Trade Fair had come to stay,” Aregbe said.
