Prof. Ikemefuna Chijioke Uzochukwu
Prof. Ikemefuna Chijioke Uzochukwu, the recently terminated Abia State Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) of the Independent National Election Commission (INEC), has detailed the horror he endured at the hands of security agents and senior INEC workers in Abia State.
Prof. Uzochukwu described in a report discovered by ALL FACTS NEWSPAPER how he prepared the Presidential and National Assembly elections, as well as the issues experienced by INEC in Abia State and how they were addressed.
The former REC disclosed that he was arrested by security personnel, imprisoned incommunicado, had his laptops and other electronic devices seized, and received death threats.
Prof. Uzochukwu went on to describe how election results were compiled in his absence and how the administrative secretary of INEC in Abia State seized his position.
He advised INEC to review some results if the Returning Officers declaration was not legal.
