Sani offers transformer to community without electricity for 20 months
The gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State, Sen. Uba Sani, has donated a transformer to the Kamazau community, which has been without electricity for 20 months.
Sani presented the transformer on Sunday to the community located in the Chikum Local Government Area of the state.
The APC governor's candidate urged the community members to protect the transformer from vandals.
Sani, who was represented by Mr. Namadi Musa, Director of Protocol of the state APC campaign council, pledged to introduce empowerment programs for women if elected.
According to him, a steady electricity supply will help support women engaged in small-scale businesses to enhance their trades.
He stressed that if voted into office, he will bring more development to the area and the state in general.
Earlier, the District Head of Kamazau, Mr Jagaba Makama, expressed appreciation to the senator for the donation.
He said that the people had gone through very hard times due to the problem of electricity supply and prayed for the success of the APC governorship candidate.
The district head said that the community also has problems with potable water and other social amenities.
Mrs. Marry Danlami, the APC Women Leader in Kamazou, pledged the total support of women in the community to the governorship candidate.
She calls on women in the area to mobilize more votes for the APC candidate.
On his part, Mr. Chris Nnoli, the former president of the Igbo community, also appreciated Sani's gesture and called on the community members to support his bid to become governor.
A member of the community, Rev. Alhamdu Buru, told newsmen that they have been without electricity for nine months in 2021 and throughout 2022.
"He has started to show us he is a helper to the masses and we pray and wish people give him all the support where necessary," he said
