The newly deployed National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Coordinator in Katsina State, Alhaji Sa’idu Ibrahim, has advised members of staff to stay away from gossip.

Ibrahim gave the piece of advice in Katsina while meeting with the heads of branches and units in the secretariat on Tuesday.

He urged the officials to be punctual, committed to their duties, and always ready to discharge their assigned responsibilities.

“I have had the opportunity to work with many of you before in Katsina. My priority always lies in my ability to deliver accordingly when assigned duties.

“I have zero tolerance for unfounded rumormongering and gossiping.

“If you come and tell me about someone else, I will tell you to wait and invite the other person and ask you to repeat what you said about him,” he said.

He, however, requested objective criticism and advice that would add value to the system, while emphasising the need for continuous learning and adaptability.

“We learn on the job every day as we face new challenges.

“No one is Mr. Know-it-All. We reassess and readjust to ensure no stone is left unturned in our quest for excellence,” Ibrahim said.

He reminded them that their resolve to work in synergy would go a long way towards assisting the development process of the scheme.

According to him, everyone should be ready to work on any assigned duty, irrespective of the area of their schedule.

He urged them to be open-minded and to support him in achieving the required success.

“I rely on you because you are my people.

“I have no one but you, and you alone can support me.

“We shall succeed by the grace of God,” he said.

Supreme News reports that the coordinator and members of staff went around to inspect the camp facilities after the meeting.
