- Ukraine can’t defend...

Ukraine will not be able to defend itself without support from U.S., is in for difficult times unless Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy returns to negotiations.
Polish President Andrzej Duda said this on Wednesday.
U.S. media reported this week, citing White House officials, said that the U.S. had suspended all military aid for Ukraine until Kiev proved its commitment to holding peace talks.
Senior White House adviser Jason Miller said that this was part of U.S. President Donald Trump’s “carrot and stick’’ strategy to end the three-year conflict in Ukraine.
“Ukraine will not be able to defend itself without the support of the United States,’’ Duda told The Wall Street Journal.
He said the situation was going to be very tough for Ukraine unless Zelenskyy chose to come back to the negotiating table.
Talks between U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Washington collapsed on Friday after they had a heated argument in front of reporters in the Oval Office.
The Ukrainian leader was criticised for what U.S. Vice President JD Vance described as a lack of gratitude and disrespectful behaviour.
