Radda said that on several occasions, late former president spoke on moral authority, saying that any leader who wanted to succeed must have it.

Gov. Dikko Radda of Katsina State unveiled on Sunday a book written about the former President Umaru Musa Yar’adua, titled “What Yar’adua told me and taught me.”.

The book, written by the former Executive Secretary of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF), Mr. Muttaqa Rabe-Darma, has over 600 pages.

It was made public after a prayer session for the repose of the soul of the late president at his 14th remembrance and prayer day in Katsina.

The prayers were offered by different scholars at Katsina Government House to seek Allah’s forgiveness for his gentle soul and grant him Al-jannah.

In his remarks, Gov. Radda said that Yar’adua was a man with humility, dedication, and discipline qualities.

He said that it was Yar’adua who brought him into the timeline of politics and was his mentor who shaped his life.

Radda said that on several occasions, the late former president spoke on moral authority, saying that any leader who wanted to succeed must have it.

Also speaking, the former governor of the state, Ibrahim Shema, said that Yar’adua was a leader par excellence who chose to be a servant of the nation and its people.

“He was the leader who, after taking oath of office, declared that his election has some faults and set up the Justice Uwais committee to make some corrections,” he said

Shema said that the late president was a man of God and had a dedication for taking such decisions.

He therefore urged people to continue to pray for the repose of his soul.

“He is my boss, my father, my mentor, my governor, and my president,” he said.

Also speaking, his junior brother, Sen. Abdulaziz Yar’adua, said that he grew up under the care of the late President Yar’adua and learned a lot of things from him.

One of his children, Shehu Umaru Yar’adua, said that their father could be remembered for what he had been telling them to “always fear Allah and search for knowledge.”

He urged people to continue to pray for the repose of the soul of their father.
