Bingham varsity to receive new students Sept. 18

Bingham University, Karu, Nasarawa State, is to receive new students on Sept. 18, according to its public affairs director, Mr. Daburi Misal.

Misal said on Sunday in Karu that the 2023–2024 academic calendar showed that returning students would arrive on Sept. 25 and 26.

“For the returning students, registration and lectures will kick off immediately,” Misal stated.

He added that the Christmas break would begin on Dec. 18 and end on Jan. 5, 2024.

According to him, orientation exercises for new students would be held on January 26, 2024, while lectures would end on February 7 for the first semester.

Misal said that the second semester would commence on April 8, with lectures starting on April 9.

He explained that departmental and student week would run from April 15 to June 24, while lectures for the second semester would end on July 29, 2024.

“The second semester examination will begin on August 1 and run through August 12, 2024, while the departmental and college/Faculty board examiners will meet to consider results on August 21, 2024.

“The Senate will meet to consider results on Aug. 29,” he said.

Supreme News reports that students at the institution started their current break on July 31.
