Don’t allow social norms overwhelm your self-esteem – Ebonyi Gov.’s wife

The wife of the Ebonyi governor, Mrs. Mary-Maudline Nwifuru, has called on women not to allow social norms and early marriage to affect their education.

Nwifuru gave the charge on Thursday, when members of her 2012 Course Mates in Mass Communication, Ebonyi State University, paid her a courtesy visit in her office in Abakaliki.

She urged them to develop physiological resilience to pursue education, notwithstanding any circumstances.

According to her, education is a path to a better life as it enhances life choices.

She expressed happiness over the visit and urged them to contribute their quota to the growth and development of the state.

Mr. James Ajaogu, leader of the group, said the visit was to familiarise and show solidarity with the present administration.
