Foundation urges Enugu governor-elect to prioritise technocrats over politicians
Onuzulike, who described Mbah’s victory as well deserved, said it was imperative for him to engage technocrats so as to enhance the delivery of his campaign promises to people of the state.
An Enugu-based interest group, The Potters Wheel Foundation (TPWF), has urged the Governor-elect, Dr Peter Mbah, to work more with technocrats than politicians in order to move the state to greater heights.
President of the foundation, Mr. Godson Onuzulike, stated this in its congratulatory message to Mbah, a copy of which was made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Enugu on Thursday.
Onuzulike, who described Mbah’s victory as well deserved, said it was imperative for him to engage technocrats so as to enhance the delivery of his campaign promises to people of the state.
He said that the foundation was excited with his victory, together with his promise to make youths part of the productive economy he desired to build in the state.
“We want to use this opportunity to say very big congratulations to him. For us, it is a well-deserved victory.
“We are expecting that he is not going to do away with his robust and inclusive manifesto, especially for the youths, which is in line with what we do at the foundation,” he said.
Onuzulike stated that the foundation, in support of the state government, had trained no fewer than 6,000 youths and women on different skills at no cost.
“We want the in-coming governor to also work with us to train more youths and women to reduce poverty and create wealth in the state.
“We are happy that only Mbah, among all the contestants before 2023 general elections, honoured our invitation to one of our programmes,” he said.
