Ijaw group hails Walson-Jack’s appointment as Head of Service

President Bola Tinubu has been commended for appointing Mrs Didi Walson-Jack as the Head of Civil Service of the Federation.

Dr Kennedy Tonjo-West, the President, Movement for the Survival of the Izon Ethnic Nationality in the Niger Delta (MOSIEND), made the commendation in a statement in Yenagoa on Wednesday.

Tonjo-West described the appointment as a good omen to the Niger Delta region, saying, ”she is an illustrious Ijaw daughter and an asset to the nation”

He said that Walson-Jack showed rare commitment to service delivery in the nation’s civil service while serving as a permanent secretary.

The MOSIEND president expressed hopes that she would implement policies that would trigger innovations and greater efficiency in the system

Supreme News reports that Walson-Jack will succeed Dr Folasade Yemi-Esan, who would retire from active service on August. 13
