Lawyer says made-in-Nigeria products not inferior
Aliyu advised the public to be patriotic and invest in the country’s economy, instead of enriching foreign economies with their resources.
An Ilorin-based legal practitioner, Mr Suleiman Aliyu, on Tuesday stated that Made-in-Nigeria products are not inferior to the foreign-made as believed by the public.
Aliyu told the newsmen in Ilorin that many people condemned Nigeria-made products and prefer to spend higher on the foreign products.
“Nigeria-made products are not inferior to the glorified foreign products. We have quality leather, the quality raw materials, to produce quality goods .
“Our products can also compete internationally. We should stop bad-mouthing Nigeria-made products and patronise local products.
“Nigeria is blessed naturally, but our people don’t value what they have. They prefer to send huge money abroad to buy their so-called favorites to the detriment of home-made products,” he said.
The lawyer, however, called on Nigerians to promote their own goods and stop saying negative things against home-made products.
He said most products from foreign countries were not better than Nigerian-made.
Aliyu advised the public to be patriotic and invest in the country’s economy, instead of enriching foreign economies with their resources.
The legal practitioner also urged government to invest in the production sector and encourage more quality production in order to boost the country’s economy.
