Panic as fire destroys arrival wing of Lagos Int'l Airport
Workers and passengers at the facility pulled out of the section where thick smoke was billowing to the larger departure hall.
On Thursday morning, a power outage caused by a fire at Lagos International Airport's E-Arrival Finger caused chaos in the old terminal.
Workers and passengers at the facility moved from the area where dense smoke was rising to the larger departure hall.
It was said that the fire occurred in an area of the principal gateway airport when personnel were going about their daily business with passengers on standby.
The fire was claimed to have started due to a defective wire on the tarmac, and it destroyed a section of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria's administrative headquarters on Tuesday night.
Although normal operations at the terminal continued, a team of firefighters and their equipment were dispatched to extinguish the fire.
