Tinubu ‘ll restructure Nigeria for common good – APC Chieftain
Oshodi, a Canada-based Nigerian-born doctor of psychiatry, said that he looked forward to Tinubu being the father of all, irrespective of their political differences and ethnic affiliations.
A member of All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), Dr Abiola Oshodi, says the President-elect, Sen. Bola Tinubu, will restructure Nigeria for the common good of all Nigerians.
Oshodi, a Canada-based Nigerian-born doctor of psychiatry, said that he looked forward to Tinubu being the father of all, irrespective of their political differences and ethnic affiliations.
Oshodi, in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Akure, said that Tinubu would focus on radical reform and restructuring of the country as well as implementation of his ‘renewed hope’ agenda.
According to him, the president-elect will hit the ground running immediately he is inaugurated on May 29.
“I expect the president-elect to start thinking of assembling his team and how to implement his vision for a new Nigeria and close ranks with other contestants, in the spirit of democracy.
“Asiwaju Bola Tinubu campaigned in all the nooks and crannies of Nigeria and that contributed immensely to his victory,” he stated.
Oshodi, who is also the Vice-Chairman of APC in Canada, said that all lovers of democracy in the country should support Tinubu and strengthen democracy for better Nigeria.
“I am excited and happy just like every other Nigerian and lovers of democracy.
“In the end, democracy wins and Nigeria wins, and kudos to the president-elect for a hard-fought and hard-won victory which wasn’t easy.
“His pathway to victory was unusual in that he lost his home state, Lagos, so that historians will not record that he won because of Lagos votes.
“He lost Osun so that historians will not write that he won because of his fellow Yoruba votes.
“Even Tinubu lost the traditional states of Kano, Kaduna and Katsina so that historians can dig in and reanalyse his unusual pathway to victory,” he stated.
