Traders laud Matawalle’s ministerial nomination
According to Wanaka, the nominee has the capacity, commitment, and foresight to work towards uplifting the people of the region and Nigerians from the current hardships.
On Thursday, the Sokoto, Kebbi, and Zamfara Amalgamated Traders Association commended President Bola Tinubu for nominating the immediate past governor of Zamfara, Bello Matawalle, as minister.
A spokesman for the traders, Malam Na’Allah Sarki, told newsmen in Sokoto that Matawalle would add value to the administration and facilitate positive development in the three states.
Sarki described Matawalle as a good politician and leader, adding that the nomination had elicited wide jubilation in the three states.
“The President’s choice is in the right direction, and this indicates that Tinubu has listening ears and consideration for the people.
”We are hopeful that President Tinubu’s administration will end the challenges faced by the North West region in terms of educational backwardness, insecurity, and food security issues through his outlined programmes,” Sarki said.
Another trader, Alhaji Aliyu Wanaka, said Matawalle’s nomination would rejuvenate support for the Tinubu administration.
According to him, the nominee has the capacity, commitment, and foresight to work towards uplifting the people of the region and Nigerians from the current hardships.
He added that Matawalle had made lots of sacrifices to tackle banditry and kidnapping that had ravaged the Sokoto, Kebbi, and Zamfara axes.
”Matawalle ensured cohesion, political stability, and unity in Zamfara better than all the past governors.
”He tried to free the state from all burdens and challenges; we hope that with his coming on board as minister, Matawalle will bring his wealth of experience to tackle the menace once and for all,” he added.
