On Friday, the founder of Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman, was attacked near Auchi at the Water Tank Junction along the Warake-Auchi Road on his way to Auchi after returning from a foreign mission.

Before he was attacked near Auchi, his base in Edo State, Suleman had just returned from a crusade in Tanzania.

According to reports, the incident occurred at around 5 o'clock when an unidentified group of gunmen opened fire on Apostle Johnson Suleman's homecoming convoy from a Toyota Avalon and an ash-colored Sienna without license plates, according to eyewitnesses.

According to witnesses, the two cars blocked all other traffic as they made their way to Suleman's convoy, where they opened fire on him in what appeared to be an assassination attempt.

The car was targeted after Suleman's car, which was leading the convoy and was thought to be driven by the suspected assassins, escaped the suspects. His children, who were said to typically travel in a separate vehicle on Friday, joined their father in the car with his wife.

While confirming the incident, the Ministry's legal advisor, Sam Amune, said, "I think it is a case of an assassination attempt because the assailants, who were in an Avalon and Sienna vehicle, stopped other vehicles to reach Apostle Suleman's convoy and they did not take anybody; the people just stopped and watched the drama unfold."

He recently completed a program in Tanzania, and the day before yesterday, he traveled to Lagos before continuing on to Benin, where his family joined him. Normally, his children drive in a separate car, but on this occasion, they accompanied their father while other domestic staff drove in their car. He narrowly avoided death, but the three orderlies who usually follow him right behind him and the next car were not so lucky.

Amune said, "It is very unfortunate to have lost those lives."

The attack on Johnson Suleman was actually confirmed by Chidi Nwabuzor, the police public relations officer for the Edo State Command.

He was attacked at around 5 o'clock by hoodlums who are still at large (1700 hours ). At home, he was attacked.

"Two of his drivers were killed right now, along with three police officers and a female housekeeper, and one is still missing."

When the alarm was raised, the police responded, shot one of the thugs, and found one of the stolen vehicles.

According to Nwabuzor's statement, Apostle Suleiman is currently secure.
